Well if you go to RugDoctor page you can find out how much it will cost you to rent a machine to do the cleaning yourself and also how much will the cleaning solutions needed cost. Did this give you an idea of much you should spend on carpet cleaning? My opinion is that you should spend a little bit more than it would cost you to do it yourself . And not necesary as much as the Rugdoctor page will tell you that profesional carpet cleaners will charge you. Of course you have to add to all that how long it will take you to clean your carpet and also driving to rent the equipment and taking it back.
So after all that (the cost, the time and the lack of experience and judgment in carpet cleaning) the best decision you can take is to call a professional carpet cleaning company to do all this hard job for you . Even then don't chuse the ones that tell you they will do it for a very low price because most likly they will end up charging you more than u where told in they're cheap ads. Now be awere that all the special prices are for they're basic service only 99% of the time this guys take it too far and end up charging you extra just for driving to your house and they only know what else.
Soo the $40 and $60 carpet cleaning ads will get you less than you can do your self by renting a machine...
